MEET THE TEAM
Sara Bucci
Influenced by her family, particularly the artistic inclinations of her parents, as a young child, Sara began sketching homes at a very early age, finding joy in capturing her visions on paper. Crafting intricate Lego homes became a childhood pastime, allowing creativity through play. Throughout her high school years, she nurtured her interest in creative arts and the building trades, where she was first introduced to the fundamentals of drafting. After successfully graduating, Sara completed the Drafting Certificate Program at NIC, marking the official beginning of her drafting career. Building on this foundation, she then pursued the Architectural and Building Engineering Technology Program at BCIT, where she honed her skills further. Upon receiving her diploma, Sara was fortunate to gain employment under a skilled structural engineer, where she gathered immense knowledge and invaluable experience in the field of structural residential design and construction. Since then, Sara has had the rewarding opportunity to design and build a total of eight personal homes, each project reflecting her growing expertise and passion for the entire process of home design - Architectural, Interior, and Landscape Design.

She continued taking drafting classes throughout her high school career, developing a keen interest in architecture and homes. She knew all along that drafting was her calling. Marlene graduated from the NIC Drafting Program in 2009, and joined Sara at Giesbrecht Designs in 2011, where she continues to grow and expand her vast array of skills. Not one to be stuck to her drafting table, Marlene also recently completed her training with Campbell River Search and Rescue.
